The Next Step
The World is now preparing for a big change. Man is also waiting for a big change. All his mental, physical and other capabilities and capacities have come to particular point, when he has been forced to be asking : And now, what?
All the old systems and principles of the society and the ways of living have been now facing a great challenge. Everything is broken or being broken. And we find a great chaos throughout the World. All rules being surpassed. Violence, bloodshed, disbelief, warfare and a chaotic human behaviour have the signatures of the present day. Even we have found at somewhere degradations to the subhuman standards of the so-called human beings. We have found that instead of progress, there have been movements of chaotic regress. We find that this world, at present, is in an extremely bad state of affairs. Falsehood, deception, selfishness, corruption, greed, hatred, violence, cruelty, inhumanity, and hunger for power and money — these seem to be the ruling forces on earth now. All the noble and great Ideals or Ideas, which prevailed on earth and inspired many of our noble and great ancients, now seem to have become obsolete. The present day earth seems to have smaller, but ideologically, and in consciousness, men seem to have become smaller also. The entire humankind is sitting on a heap of bombs – atomic or non-atomic. In relationships, we find little of beauty and love and fellow feeling. In Arts and culture, beauty is replaced by vulgarity. In the name of religion, the people fight and kill each other and are taking themselves farther away from the Divine, from spirituality.
The World, thanks to the scientific progress and achievement, is speedily becoming one. So also, the political and some other social activities are narrowing and bridging the differences and are breaking the Walls. Culturally, we find the tendency of an international synthesis. Indeed, the World becoming one.
But the Way is lost. The Old ways have done their jobs. They have led us thus far — may be through some light and some darkness. We are now knocking at the Door — the door for opening the New Way towards the New Horizon, for, we shall have to take The Next Step.

What is the Next Step?
That is the Next Step of Consciousness. Mind is not the last stage of Consciousness, nor is Man the last stage the Manifestation, of the Evolution. “Man is a transitional being” — said Sri Aurobindo.
What is required for us is an adventure of Consciousness. At present, we have remained limited and bound to the imperfect human mind. We have questioned and we have questions, but the answers seem to be still far away. But are the answers really far away?
The coming of the Big Change was foreseen. The Next Step to be taken by us has been also indicated. Only we have to take the Next Step, towards the Next Evolution.
Sri Aurobindo is The Leader of the next evolution. Along with The Mother [Mira Alfassa], He has trodden the New Way towards the Next Evolution, beyond Mind, beyond Man.
Sri Aurobindo is Himself the Adventure of Consciousness , as has been described by Satprem. And if one aspires and endeavours to follow the Light and the Words of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother and is inspired by Them and tries to walk through the Way trodden by Them, one has to grow up as a sort of adventurer of Consciousness, a seeker of Truth. And this is not to be a blind faith. This should be an Understanding, a Light that comes from above and grows within, more and more intuitively and yet it should satisfy all claims of Reason, and should even surpass the limits of Reason, the failures and falls of Reason. This need not be done as a religion, not as any worship, not as a dogma, not as a way of creating another group or any group, but as a clear and open Truth, universal and worldwide and limitless, and acceptable to and accepting all human beings on earth, so that Man may surpass all imperfections and limitations, all difficulties and deficiencies, all divisions and darkness and death.
Sri Aurobindo said:
Our evolution in the Ignorance with its checkered joy and pain of self-discovery and world-discovery, its half fulfilments, its constant finding and missing, is only our first state. It must lead inevitably towards an evolution in the Knowledge, a self finding and self-unfolding of the Spirit, a self-revelation of the Divinity in things in that true power of itself in Nature which is to us still a Supernature.
And said The Mother :
A new consciousness is at work upon earth to prepare the coming of the superhuman being. Open yourself to this consciousness if you aspire to serve the Divine Work.
To come into contact with this new consciousness, the essential condition is no longer to have any desires and to be wholly sincere.
Hence, we have to aspire for and dream of marching towards The Next Evolution, towards The New Horizon, and take the Next Step. With this Hope, with these ideas and aspirations, this blog is created, which I name The Next Step . My idea is not to dream or be a visionary, but to spread this Light and this Hope, for growing and marching ahead and take The Next Step.
